Parish Council Updates
On September 28th, several of our parishioners, along with our priest, had the honor of attending the Decennial Celebration of the Eparchy of Mississauga in Edmonton, marking a significant milestone in our community's spiritual journey On Sep 29, Oct 6 and Oct 13th we collected donations from our parishioners to support the Pastoral Center. These generous contributions were then sent to Mississauga, demonstrating our community’s commitment to supporting the important work of the Pastoral Center. From October 18th to October 20th, we held our annual retreat led by Fr. Jison Paul, which was a deeply spiritual experience that many of our parishioners attended.

Catechism classes are going well and as scheduled in our parish and all children are actively involved in the classes.
Annual retreat was conducted in our parish by Fr. Jison Paul Vengassery and there was a special session taken for our catechism students also on 20th October. Around 40 students from Grade 4 onwards attended. All the students enjoyed the informative and spiritual learning obtained during this highly interactive session.
Holyween was celebrated on 27th October after the Holy Mass. Many students participated in the celebration and came dressed up in various saint costumes. We had Guess the Saint challenge, Truth or treat, prizes for the best dressed Saint and Saints Parade. Candies and Holy items were distributed to the participants and all the children in the Church.

Mathruvedi Updates
“A retreat refreshes and revitalizes, gives the opportunity for more time spent in prayer and contemplation, rekindles and deepens one’s relationship with God.”
We sought God’s healing grace and renewed our spirituality during the three-day Annual Retreat of the Parish from Oct 18 – Oct 20, 2024. The Retreat led by Rev. Fr. Jison Paul Vengasserry, started with the celebration of Holy Mass by Vicar Rev Fr. Jerlin Francis, followed by preaching of scripture by Rev. Fr. Jison Paul Vengasserry and Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
The retreat offered the blessing of getting to know Christ, our Saviour better and nourished our inner souls. Also, Rev. Fr. Jison enlightened us with the biblical concepts behind the Architectural design of the most Holy Altar in our Regina Parish. The last day of the retreat was special with a separate session for Children and opportunity for Confession.
Mathruvedi members actively participated in the retreat along with their families. The members also lended a helping hand at the kitchen in setting the snacks ready for distribution during the days of retreat.
Altogether, the three-day retreat inspired inner reflection, helping us embrace a renewed spiritual journey, in strong bonding with the Parish and Holy Eucharist.
