Holy Mass in Remembrance of His Holiness Pope Francis (1936 – 2025)
With deep sorrow and reverence, our parish gathers to commemorate the passing of Pope Francis, a humble shepherd who led the Church with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith. As we honor his remarkable legacy, we invite all members to join in a Holy Mass for the Eternal Repose of his soul, uniting in solemn prayer and reflection.
The special gathering will take place on Sunday, beginning with a Parish Council Meeting at 4:30 pm, followed by Catechism at 5:00 pm and the Rosary at 5:30 pm. The central celebration, Holy Qurbana, will begin at 6:00 pm, dedicated to the memory of Pope Francis and his profound service to the global Church.
This sacred occasion serves not only as a moment of mourning but also of gratitude—for a life devoted to mercy, justice, and unity. We encourage everyone to wear black attire as a sign of collective mourning and respect.
Let us come together in prayer, paying tribute to a spiritual father who inspired millions and walked faithfully in the footsteps of Christ. May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory continue to guide the Church forward. 🙏💐

The Parish Feast of St. John Paul II will be celebrated on May 16, 17, and 18, 2025, marking a joyful and spiritually uplifting occasion for our entire community. As we step into this sacred time of preparation, parishioners are invited to join hands in unity and wholehearted support for this special event that honors our beloved patron saint. The celebration will include Holy Masses, novenas, cultural programs, and community gatherings that reflect the vibrant spirit and deep faith of our parish. All families are considered presudenthis, with suggested contributions of $100 per family or $30 for singles, and all are encouraged to provide their information accurately for record purposes. The festivities began with a Holy Mass and Novena to St. John Paul II on May 1, the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, where parishioners were invited to come forward in thanksgiving, especially those marking birthdays, anniversaries, or other special intentions. As we journey together toward this important celebration, let us lift our hearts in prayer, gratitude, and fellowship, making this year’s feast a memorable and grace-filled event for all. We had the honor of having the Bishop of Thamarassery Diocese Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil and Archbishop of Regina His Grace Donald Bolen. Catechism students welcomed His Excellancy Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil with flowers as a token of respect and gratitude. We also celebrated the First Holy Communion of our Grade 4 student Reann Martin and Confirmation of our Grade 6 Student Aveyah Jyxen. The Bishop officiated the ceremony, imparting the Holy Spirit upon our candidates. The event was a significant milestone in their faith journey, and we are proud of their commitment to living out their faith. SMYM children showcased a vibrant and energetic flash mob performance during the occasion. This spontaneous and lively display of talent was a highlight of the event, captivating the audience and spreading joy throughout the gathering.
