Six Years of Priesthood – Fr. Jerlin

November 30, 2025

On Sunday, November 30, 2025, our parish community gathered with profound gratitude to celebrate the Sixth Anniversary of Priesthood for Father Jerlin. This milestone was observed during the celebration of the Holy Qurbana, serving as a beautiful tribute to his dedicated years of sacramental service and spiritual leadership.

A Celebration of Service and Devotion

The atmosphere was one of joy and communal appreciation as parishioners united to honor Father Jerlin’s vocation. The celebration highlighted the impact of his ministry on our spiritual lives, characterized by:

  • Heartfelt Gratitude: A collective thanksgiving for his commitment to the Word of God and the administration of the Sacraments.

  • Communal Prayer: Special intentions were offered for his continued strength, wisdom, and grace in his priestly journey.

  • Parish Fellowship: The warmth and enthusiasm of the congregation deeply moved Father Jerlin, who expressed his sincere delight and appreciation for the community’s support.

Honoring Our Spiritual Shepherd

As we marked this sixth year of his ministry, we were reminded of the vital role a priest plays in guiding a flock toward Christ. We remain blessed by Father Jerlin’s presence and look forward to many more years of walking together in faith under his guidance.

"The priesthood is the love of the heart of Jesus." — St. John Vianney

Parish Christmas Caroling: Spreading the Joy of the Nativity

In keeping with our cherished traditions at St. John Paul II Parish, our community gathers annually to proclaim the joyous news of Christ’s birth through Christmas Caroling. This seasonal ministry serves as a vibrant bridge between the church and the home, bringing the message of the Gospel directly to the doorsteps of our parishioners.

A Tradition of Faith and Fellowship

Our caroling visits are more than musical performances; they are moments of intentional outreach and spiritual connection:

  • Evangelization through Song: We share the timeless message of hope, peace, and love inherent in the Nativity, using sacred music to reflect the true spirit of the season.

  • Communal Prayer: Each visit provides a unique opportunity for families to gather in prayer, inviting God’s blessing into their homes for the coming year.

  • Strengthening Parish Bonds: These encounters foster deep fellowship, bridging generations and strengthening our identity as one family in Christ.

Celebrating Together

Through these melodic visits, we strive to ignite the light of Christ in every heart and home. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and families who participate, making this a season of profound unity and shared celebration.

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!" — Luke 2:14
