Kozhukatta Shani – 12 April 2025
Our Holy Week journey began with the celebration of Kozhukkatta Shani, a cherished tradition of our church symbolizing unity, gratitude, and simplicity. The evening began with the Holy Qurbana at 5:30 PM, drawing families and individuals together in prayer. After Mass, parishioners offered and shared kozhukkatta — a humble and sweet rice dumpling — as a sign of community spirit and spiritual preparation. It was a beautiful reminder that even in our busy lives, pausing to uphold tradition strengthens our connection with faith and each other.

Palm Sunday 13 April 2025
Palm Sunday marked the beginning of Holy Week with a beautiful and meaningful celebration that commemorated Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Parishioners gathered in reverence, holding palm leaves as a symbol of peace and victory. The service began with a blessing of the palms, followed by a solemn procession that reminded us of the joy and humility with which the people welcomed Christ. The Holy Qurbana was filled with reflections on Christ’s journey toward the cross and His deep love for humanity. It was a day of both celebration and contemplation, setting the tone for the sacred days ahead.

Maundy Thursday – 17 April 2025
Maundy Thursday marked the solemn remembrance of the Last Supper, the Institution of the Holy Eucharist, and the beginning of the priesthood. Our community gathered at 7:00 PM in the church hall for the sacred Pesaha service. Everyone was invited to participate with reverence, and many brought Pesaha appam, which was blessed and later shared in homes. The Eucharistic Celebration reminded us of Jesus’ love and sacrifice, and the importance of humility and service in our spiritual lives. This holy evening brought us closer to the true meaning of discipleship and fellowship.

Good Friday – 18 April 2025
On Good Friday, we gathered to reflect on the suffering and crucifixion of our Lord. The service began at 9:00 AM with the solemn reading of the Passion of Christ. Due to cold and stormy weather, the Way of the Cross was held indoors, yet the powerful spirit of the day remained intact. With each station, we walked the path of Jesus’ final hours, meditating deeply on His immense sacrifice. Following the spiritual service, Nercha Kanji was shared — a simple meal symbolizing our solidarity with Christ’s suffering and with one another. It was a deeply moving day filled with silence, prayer, and compassion.

Easter Vigil Mass – 19 April 2025
The Easter Vigil, held at 9:00 PM, was the most joyful celebration of the entire week. The church echoed with alleluias as we rejoiced in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The service began in darkness, then burst into light as the Paschal candle was lit, symbolizing Christ’s triumph over death. The SMYM energized the celebration with their vibrant Uyirpp performance, joyfully proclaiming the good news. After the Holy Mass, parishioners shared Easter cake, embracing one another in happiness and celebration. It was a truly powerful and spirit-filled night that rekindled our faith.
