PARISH COUNCIL MEETING -UPDATES
The council had decided to organize a special orientation program for the catechism students with focus on Confession and Holy Eucharist. The committee decided to make special arrangements for confession as a preparation for Christmas. It was decided to organize Christmas Carol on unit wise and to promote every family to participate in the event. On the Christmas eve the Parish will conduct Carrol Song competition, followed by Cultural events by Pious Associations and Community Dinner. In preparation to Christmas celebration program committee was formed for Liturgical Services, Decoration, Food Committee, Registration and Volunteers. The council also decided to promote the children to be part of Alter Service and to promote Malayalam class in the parish. As part of Family Strengthening Program council has decided to serve a needy family with 1000 CAD from the charity fund.
CATECHISM DEPARTMENT UPDATES The catechism classes are going well in our Parish. On the last Sunday of November (27th), each classes selected Christmas friends (Secret Santa) with in their classes and gifts were exchanged on 18th December.
In preparation for the Christmas, a half day (1pm – 5pm) program was conducted for our catechism students on 18th December Sunday. The higher grades’ students had the classes about ‘Holy communion & confession’ lead by our WPGK Dr.Agnel George. Snacks were served for all participants and special arrangements were made for confession. For KG to Grade 3 children, there was practice for Christmas celebration programs and games under the guidance of teachers.
NURSES MINISTRY UPDATES.
On Monday December 12th Regina Nurses Ministry lead the weekly prayer meet at 7.30 pm, the meeting starts with Holy Rossary and the word of God given by Fr. Daris Cherian.Also, members held a chain Rosary on December 12th begging for the intercession of the Holy mother. On November 27 th Nurses Ministry members attended the annual meeting after holy mass. Co Ordinator Mrs. Jaisy Bestin discussed about the activities that held throughout the year and submitted a brief report to Fr. Daris Cherian Also Fr. Daris talk about the importance of nurses to extend their helping hands to people in need especially the sick people.

# 10-Dec:We successfully completed Kettle Bell Program - A fund raising program for Salvation Army.Alex, Francis, Joy George and Agnel George helped in making this program a success.18-Dec: Our WPGK Agnel delivered a wonderful message on Holy Eucharist, Confession and Reconciliation for our Catechism children.18-Dec: We successfully conducted a basketball event with our parishioners.18-Dec: The Faithful Navigator of the Assembly Gordon Stopansky, has requested our council to conduct the Forth Degree Exemplification on 22-Jan-2023.1-Dec: We submitted transfer request form for our FS, Deputy GK another member.17190, SEPT. 2022.
PARISH CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION.
During the weeks leading up to Christmas, there was confessions held for all parishioners. On December 24th at 11:30pm, we held the Midnight Mass. Then, on the 25th there was mass at 4:30 pm which was led by Fr. Oliver and Fr. Daris. Right after the Mass, everyone was encouraged to join the church for the Christmas celebration, which included a Unit Carol Singing Competition and many singing and dancing performances. Many of the performances were performed by the Catechism students of our church, we thank the catechism teachers and principal for organizing and coordinating the performances for the kids. After all the performances, the winners for the Carol competition were announced, St. John Paul II unit placing first, second place going to St. Mary’s Unit and third place going to Holy Family Unit. Finally, the wonderful night came to an end after a flavorful meal.

CAROL SINGING IN THE FAMILY UNIT WISE
Carol singing in each unit was conducted from the fist week of December. Carol singing started at St. Johnpaul II family unit. On Fridays and Saturdays, the unit members covered almost 16 houses each day. Though it was -25 degree freezing cold almost all unit members cooperated and participated in the carol singing. The second week St. Mary's family unit had their Carol singing and on third week Holy family unit also conducted Carol singing. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for all the parishioners.

ST. MARYS SYRO-MALABAR MISSION MOOSEJAW.
St. Mary's Syro-Malabar community Moosjaw had their Christmas celebration on 26th Monday at 4 PM. The program started with confession from 4 to 5 PM. 5:30 Solemn Christmas Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr. Oliver Inchody CMI. Fr. Daris Cherian Pastor and Fr. George Thattupurambil MST, Fr. Thomas Mudavanattu and Fr. Tomy Mandapathil MST also joined for the celebrations. We had around 70 People joined for the Celebrations. Christmas programs by parishioners started by 7 PM. Many kids and youth performed wonderful programs on the stage. Rev. Fathers also sang carol songs and the programs ended with delicious dinner. The community has decided to have their monthly Holy Mass on every second Saturday of the Month and new program coordinators and office in charges were elected for the community celebrations
