Pope Francis,original name Jorge Mario Bergoglio, (born December 17, 1936, Buenos Aires, Argentina), the bishop of Rome and the leader of the Roman Catholic Church (2013– ). He was the first pope from the Western Hemisphere, the first from South America, and the first from the Jesuit order
Mar Raphael Thatt was born on 21st April 1956. He started his priestly training at St. Mary's Minor Seminary, Thrissur and then completed his training from St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary, Vadavathur and was ordained to the priesthood on 21 December 1980 by Mar Joseph Kundukulam.He received his doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome
Mar Jose Kalluvelil ,He obtained his Doctorate in catechesis from the Salesian University, Rome. he was doing pastoral ministry to the Syro-Malabar faithful in Toronto. Then he was ordained the bishop of the Syro Malabar Catholic Exarchate of Canada in 2015 and became the Eparch in 2018 after the elevation of the exarchate to an eparchy.
Our Parish Priest
Fr. Jerlin Francis, a priest from the diocese of Thamarassery, was born on 31st July at Peruvannamuzhi, Kozhikode. He began his priestly formation in the Minor Seminary at Thamarassery and done his Philosophical studies at Paurasthya Vidya Pitham, Vadavathoor. He has secured Bachelor degree in Theology at Pontificio Ateneo Regina Apostolorum, Rome, where he has also done his Licentiate. He was ordained on 30th November 2019 and appointed as asst. vicar in Thottumukkam and later Mary Matha Cathedral Thamarassery. He was also the secretary to the bishop for one year and moved to St. Alphosa Church Manjakkunnu as Vicar.
